I have CFS and herpes. Will ayclovir kill the viruses causing both these conditions?
Could you please tell me how many electrodes are supplied with the unit as I see that each electrode can only be used for three thirty minute sessions.
Can healthy cells of the body be destroyed by the action of the acyclovir entering all cells?
Can there be bad side effects or a die-off type effect as the viruses die and the body rids itself of them? Can it cause a temporary flare of herpes symptoms?
After the recommended amount of treatments, can you repeat the process if the herpes comes back again? If so how soon after the first round of treatments? Is it advisable to get the doctor to do a blood test 90 days after completing the treatment cycle?
You talked about the older units causing deep burns to the skin. Can this happen with this unit?
Answer
Yes, acyclovir covers a broad spectrum of viruses from herpes I and II (the most common) through the CMV, Coxsackie B group of virusses (the most likely cause of CFS) and cold and influenza viruses. The response with the coxsackie B's has been described as "Spectacular".
We found that the 20 electrodes we give you with your Electro-cure device should be enough for 12 to 15 treatments. The applicator pads can be used over and over again until the gel has worn off. Sticking them down with tape or elastoplast will prolong their use. If however you intend to treat over a long period of time as a prophylactic measure then you'll need to get additional supplies. The pads are relatively inexpensive and can be obtained online without a script.
Acyclovir interferes with the enzymes the virus needs for replication of DNA in cells and prevents the virus from multiplying. It is also incorporated into the virus DNA chain which terminates replication. Inhibition of DNA synthesis of virus-infected cells inhibits viral replication. In cells not infected with HSV, DNA synthesis is unaltered.
A typical course is a ½ hour session daily for 10 to 15 treatments after which the virus should be eradicated (like in gone "CURED"). The only time you'll have to go back onto the treatment is when you become reinfected somehow. You may use the treatment as often and as long as you like.
We've not had reports of side effects from Lectroject as it's simply a delivery device. It has been subject to rigorous checks by all relevant Govt. and Health department and passed for human use. So, no it doesn't burn like the old machines.
The possibility of side effects from the medication is always present. Side effect of acyclovir cream are rare and consists of a burning tingling sensation at the site of the application. According to their package insert. According to medical literature, any side effects will disappear once the Acyclovir has been discontinued.
Add info... We recently discovered that Acyclovir induced through Lectroject is capable of flushing out (waking up) the virus from hiding. Which is actually a good thing because now the medication can kill off the virus. Any OB's during the treatment period should be mild and the treatment may even abort the attack.
