What test can proof a herpes cure?

by chelle
(colorado)

Is it true? How can it be proven cured or whatnot, is there a test to show the hsv virus is completely out of your system?

Answer
It is correct to say that the standard IgM/IgG blood test cant tell you if viral DNA is still present or not because the herpes viruse is not present in blood in their latent stages, only a PCR DNA test can.

Let me put it to you this way: If the Electro-cure treatment was successful the PCR DNA test (done on spinal fluid) result will be negative indicating that no viral DNA could be detected. The PCR tracks viral DNA. The absence of viral DNA means no Virus = no Disease no Outbreaks. Cured! You will not experience any outbreaks at all unless you are reinfected somehow.

Although still very "new" the PCR is done in all advanced countries and should certainly be available in the US. Any reputable medical university should also be able to perform the test.

Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. A PCR test can be done on cells or fluid from a sore or on blood or on other fluid, such as spinal fluid. PCR finds the genetic material (DNA) of the HSV virus. This test can tell the difference between HSV-1 and HSV-2. The PCR test is not often done on skin sores, but it is best for testing spinal fluid, for those rare cases in which herpes may cause an infection in or around the brain.
