What is Zovirax / Acyclovir / Generics?

by Shaun
(ZA)

acyclovir zovirax generics

acyclovir zovirax generics

Answer

Zovirax, generic name Acyclovir, is an antiviral drug, which treats the infection caused by herpes - herpes simplex, herpes on lips, cold sores, shingles, genital herpes, chicken pox and others. It helps to fight herpes.

It really makes no difference which acyclovir you use. They all work equally well. Generics are just as effective as the original but much less expensive. Brand names like Zovirax is simply acyclovir in a more expensive package - it is in no way superior to any other brand of acyclovir.

Also... Brand Name drugs and Generic drugs are Identical in terms of active ingredients and effectiveness and are many times made by the same manufactures that make Brand Name medications.
