Acyclovir 5% topical cream. As of the present time, with lectroject the only effective treatment has been Acyclovir cream. The possibility of side effects from the medication is always present. Side effect of acyclovir cream are rare and consists of a burning tingling sensation at the site of the application. According to their package insert. According to medical literature, any side effects will disappear once the Acyclovir has been discontinued.


Acyclovir pills. Like all oral prescription drugs (pills) there are some side effects that can occur when taking this drug. It is worth noting that most people will not experience these side effects:
Headache
Nausea
Vomiting
Diarrhea

In very rare cases, these serious side effects occurred: anxiety, agitation, slowed-thinking, confusion, hallucinations, dizziness, trouble speaking, sleepiness, tingling, numbness of the hands or the feet, vision changes, loss of consciousness, seizures, swollen glands, pink or red coloration of urine, fever, sore throat or other signs of infection, yellowing of the skin and or eyes and dark urine—if you experience any of these very rare yet very serious side effects, STOP taking Acyclovir and seek immediate medical treatment.
