Was on suppressive therapy with acyclovir for about 15 years. Have been off it for 18 plus months. Would I be a candidate?
Answer
Length of time doesn't seem to have been a problem in the past unless the virus has developed immunity to Acyclovir. As of the present time, the only effective treatment has been Acyclovir cream.
Acyclovir is what is used in conjunction with the lectroject device. If you do proof to have developed resistance against the acyclovir (after ± 30 treatments) then you will need to switch to something different like "Denavir or Vectavir".
We found this to be necessary in less than 1% of cases. If you do, then you can purchase denavir online without a script. But let's not jump the gun here.
