My test results say for type 2 igg 1.69 wat does it mean?
Answer Best way to read this is: an IGG above 0.90 is positive.

I did a herpes test in November 2009 and both result came back negative. In February 2010, I notice that the colour of my Vulua, especially the Labia Minora had a darker colour and a Nevi (mole) also appear. My Gyno just gave me Vagiflor as a treatment and said that it is normal..
I wasn't satisfied so I repeat the test for herpes in April 2010 and the result show that I am positive for both HSV1 and HSV2. However, since November of last year I have never had any symptoms. My test result say that my IgG is positive with antibodies but my IgM is negative.

If you examine your test results you'll see the letters IgM and IgG. If the IgM is positive it means that the infection is active. If IgM is negative and IgG is positive, it means that you have developed sufficient antibodies to put the virus into remission. i.e. The IgG/IgM test will tell you whether you have a current infection or residual antibodies from a previous infection.
