How much acyclovir do I need to get rid of HSV 2?

by Paul
(Valencia California. usa)

How do I apply the acyclovir and how much do I need to use? For HSV 2.

Answer

Acyclovir cream is what is used in conjunction with the Lectroject device. It enter the body via two electrodes. A small amount (about the size of a half a pea) is applied to each electrode which are stuck to you upper and lower spine to treat the entire body.

A typical course is a half hour treatment per day for 10-15 days after which the virus should be eradicated. The cream and pads that comes with the device should be enough for the 10-15 treatments depending on the quantity you use for each treatment.

If you intend to treat both you and your partner or over a long period of time as a prophylactic measure then you'll need to get additional supplies. The cream and pads are relatively inexpensive and can be obtained from online pharmacies without a script.
