Alternative medicine Cold Sore Herpes treatment
Alternative medicine induction:
Alternative medicine induction: FDA approved medicines for herpes cold sore induced through Lectroject offer real cure. A number of prescription medications can be used to ease the pain and discomfort that often accompanies this type of sore. These prescription drugs for cold sores come in a variety of forms, including oral tablets, ointments, and creams. Lysine may also be effective in preventing and treating cold sores.
Medications for Cold Sores: An Overview:
A variety of cold sore medicines are available, including prescription medications, non-prescription medications, and supplements.
Prescription Cold Sore Drugs:
Alternative medicine: All of the prescription medications that are approved to treat cold sores belong to a group of medications known as antivirals. Antivirals can be effective in speeding up healing and decreasing the pain and discomfort associated with cold sores. The three most commonly prescribed medications; Acyclovir (Zovirax), Famciclovir (Famvir) and Valacyclovir (Valtrex). Topical prescription medicines for cold sores (creams or ointments that are applied directly to the cold sore) include: • Zovirax® cream (acyclovir cream) • Zovirax® ointment (acyclovir ointment) -- approved for people with a weakened immune system • Denavir® cream (penciclovir). Oral prescription medications (tablets that are taken by mouth) include: • Famvir® (famciclovir) • Valtrex® (valacyclovir). All of these medicines work best if used at the first sign of a cold sore (symptoms often include tingling, itching, burning, or redness). It is important to understand that treatment with these medicines does not prevent future outbreaks. They are also not approved for use in children (except Zovirax cream and Denavir cream, which can be used in children 12 years of age and older).
Why alternative medicine induction?:
It would be correct to say that acyclovir taken orally cannot reach the virus that have lodged in neural ganglia as the drug taken orally is circulated through the blood. The Lectroject system Electro-cure uses particle transport technology which operates independently of the bloodstream - The flow of atoms is directly through the body and are able to reach any cell anywhere. The Difference between oral medication (pills) is that with pills the medication goes into the stomach and digestive track where a significant percentage of the drug is destroyed by gastric juices. It is then passed into the bloodstream where it circulates through the liver and is metabolised until there's nothing left of the drug. In an intramuscular or intravenous injection using a hypodermic syringe and needle, the drug is carried in the blood serum where, once again, it is metabolised by the liver. With the Lectroject system Electro-cure atoms of medication is concentrated by 50 times its normal strength and the (drug) follows an ionic stream through the body independently of blood flow. The atom of acyclovir is inserted into the cell where the virus is, the acyclovir atom interferes with the DNA of the virus and prevents it from replicating. The virus becomes dormant and is eliminated from the body in the normal way. (by metabolism)
Non-Prescription Cold Sore Medicines:
Alternative medicine: There is only one non-prescription cold sore medicine that is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This over-the-counter medication is Abreva® (docosanol). Abreva is available without a prescription and has been shown to decrease cold sore symptoms and to help cold sores heal more quickly.Abreva works by altering the cell membranes (the outer covering) of lip cells. This helps to protect healthy cells from the herpes virus, helping the cold sore to heal faster.
Cold Sore Supplements:
Lysine is a commonly used supplement for treating and preventing cold sores. It is available in a variety of forms, including oral forms (tablets, caplets, or powders), creams, and ointments.Lysine is an amino acid found in many foods, including meat, cheese, and yogurt. Theoretically, it may work to treat or prevent cold sores by "competing" with arginine, another amino acid that is essential for the cold sore virus to multiply. A few studies suggest that lysine may be an effective cold sore treatment. These studies tend to suggest that lysine may work better for preventing cold sores, rather than treating them once they occur. It is important to note that these studies used the oral forms of lysine (taken by mouth), not the creams or ointments. At this time, it is not known what the best dose of lysine may be or exactly how it should be taken. As with any supplement, it is important to choose a brand of lysine that is made by a reputable manufacturer, as supplements are not as tightly regulated as medications. Your pharmacist can help you choose a lysine supplement from a reputable manufacturer.
